Improve Home Estimate QR Code Postcard Success
Congratulations on strengthening your real estate business strategy by mailing out Home Estimate QR Code Postcards! We are answering some questions we are receiving about how these postcards work, the best follow-up practices, and why your responses might be less than you were expecting in this article.
What are Home Estimate QR Code Postcards?
Home Estimate postcards are some of our best-selling real estate marketing postcards. They feature several strong calls to action, giving you insight into which homeowners you should follow up with and how often. The unique QR code feature allows you to track your leads’ actions. You’ll receive notifications whenever a homeowner logs in to view their free estimate so you can take action and follow up.
We have access to active listings all over the country. Our skilled engineering department has added active listings to the Home Estimate landing page, giving a broader market picture. The addition of the active listings will make the Home Estimate more valuable for your prospects.
- This easy-to-follow article will show you how our new Home Estimate QR code works to generate more leads for you and your business.

- Follow up with your real estate leads with a handwritten note, email, or cover letter using these complementary messages.
What are QR code best practices?
Corefact has postcards that feature the new Home Estimate QR code. They range from Just Listed and Just Sold postcards to various farming postcards. You can also use the Home Estimate QR code on the back of any postcard with our backside designs.
1. Pick A Side
We do not recommend pairing a Home Estimate QR Code with other types of QR Codes, i.e., personal or property websites. For example, if you have a Home Estimate QR code on the front of your card, you should not have any other QR code or keycode on the back of the card. If you want a QR code on both the front and back of your postcard, use the same QR code.
2. Follow Up Quickly
We recommend following up with your Home Estimate leads within 24 hours. You can quickly drop off a Note Card attached to a comparative market analysis. If you aren’t quite sure what to say, we have created a notecard message and cover letter template for you! Then you can add them to an email drip campaign related to their interests, location, and property type.
If you are ready to take your lead follow-up strategy a step further, we have also created five additional ways to reach out to your new leads today! These include phone calls, notecards, emailing, connecting on social media, and doing a home visit.

Why didn’t anyone scan my QR code postcards?
We are not sure why you did not receive a better response after mailing out your Home Estimate QR code postcards. But we can confirm that the postcards have been scanned and delivered. You can see the report under Account>Orders. Just click Track Mail to see when your cards were delivered. The USPS generates these reports when the USPS sorting machines read the barcodes on each mailer. This report helps us confirm we delivered the postcards to the USPS.
While we feel our lead capture technology postcards give you the best chance of getting a response and engagement, there are a lot of factors that go into clients responding. Some factors include:
- the turnover rate in the area you are marketing to,
- how targeted the list is,
- if people already know you in the farm area, and
- how long you have been marketing to these folks.
The competition in each area can also affect the response rates. The key is to be consistent since it is a long game. The best practice is to work out your budget so that you can touch a specific group of people over and over.
We don't guarantee response rates, just that our pieces should give you the best chance of getting clients to engage. Over 12 to 18 months of mailing to the same farm, you should see on average 2 to 5% engagement - again, this depends on many factors. We genuinely feel that our marketing pieces put our clients in the best position to receive leads, but ultimately it is up to the contacts to engage.
